Global business travel prices are expected to stabilize, with slight increases by 2025
According to the 2025 Global Business Travel Price Trends report released by CWT and the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), although travel costs will continue to rise, the rate of increase is expected to significantly slow in 2024 and 2025. "While business travel costs have fluctuated significantly over the past few years, the latest data suggests that prices will experience a period of relative stability in the near future," said Patrick Andersen, President and CEO of CWT. "The pricing environment over the next 12 to 18 months is expected to be relatively steady, which will help companies better plan budgets and manage costs. However, this stability remains fragile, and we advise clients to stay vigilant about geopolitical risks, inflation pressures, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) issues."
